Dr. S.S. Kausik is a Scientist at Centre of Plasma Physics, Institute for Plasma Research (An Aided Institute of Dept. of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India) Sonapur, Assam. After completing research in Experimental Plasma Physics at Centre of Plasma Physics, he obtained the Ph.D. degree from Gauhati University. He did his Post-Doctoral Research at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As an active plasma physics researcher, he has a number of publications in reputed international journals and has one patent. His research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including dusty plasma, negative hydrogen ions in plasma for fusion, plasma in food and agricultural applications for societal benefits etc. His expertise has led to his involvement in various collaborative works, both nationally and internationally, aimed at advancing the field of plasma physics. He has mentored numerous students and young researchers, inspiring the next generation of plasma physicists.
